I love K-PAX, which this is taken from. I challenge you to find anything other than peace in this. Anyway, this is especially for Anna, who found her own bluebird, just recently.

Thank you Matt!
How did you know that I needed this right now?
:)
Love,
Ana
Yes, the blue bird. I loved your comment.
I didn't! But, then, who couldn't do with a bit of extra peace in their lives? Funny thing is, Howie's bluebird of happiness is everywhere, once you start looking.
Matt
Hmmmm... I believe you are reading Schopenhauer and you changed art to the bluebird.
:)
Ana
LOL - I only wish that I'd read Schopenhauer. Ever!
Matt
Schopenhauer is not difficult Matt.
Read Wikipedia and jump in.
LOL
He says that life is boring and art is a way to cope with it.
:)
Well, he may well be right! "Life," as prescribed by others, moves very slowly, and not terribly satisfactorily, for the most part, I find!
I was watching K-PAX last night, for the umpteenth time, as it happens. There was a poignant moment, which I hadn't noticed, before, when Bessie, who had been mute up to that point, tells Prot "I know who you are... You're the bluebird." It reminded me of that scene in "To Kill a Mockingbird," when Atticus tells Jem that it's a sin to kill a mockingbird. Jem later engages in a piece of zoomorphism similar to Bessie's, when he decides that Boo Radley is just such a mockingbird.
I suppose the thing is that there are no constraints with art; or very few, anyway. One may go pretty much anywhere one's imagination feels inclined to permit.
Matt
As long as you use your imagination it's fine!
:)
