My New Aquarium - Part VI

There's quite a lot of reflection, which interferes a bit, but I was just testing out what difference, if any, the light reflector that I've just installed in the hood made. It's supposed to improve brightness by 100%. I don't know about that, but it certainly seems to be an improvement over the previous picture.

The tank is really pretty.

Dear Matt:

Tank heaven appears to be coming along at an alarmingly good rate. Maybe if you sit and stare into the tank for long enough; you can imagine you are the little fish that could? {Laughing}

I was thinking to myself herein a tranquil state of delirium; if fish got depressed, could you just drop a toaster in the tank making the assumption they would be ECT induced into a better mood, or just forget they were fish all together? {Smirk}

I think I will go to Minnesota and get a court order to find out dag gum it! {Laughing}

I honestly hope things are going well in your world Matt.

stan: Fish lead an admirably uncomplicated life, I think. In fact, they're wonders of evolution: all they do is eat, shit and breed! I envy them, on the whole.

Anyway, by the look of it, Pawlenty is bringing down the shutters on attempts to begin a discussion about Ray Sandford. It's a fucking disgrace: one knows that one's adversary is on shaky ground when they refuse to respond.

stephany: I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I've got two filters in there, just now, while the new one cycles. The "little" one, from my 8g, is already cycled, but is adjusting to the new bioload (an extra 10 fish's worth of crap), and I'm keeping a close eye on it, to make sure the ammonia, nitrites and nitrates don't get out of whack. I tell you: this isn't a hobby, it's fucking science!

Dear Matt:

That’s some kind of intellectual thumping going on over at FS over this Forced ECT thread. I can almost hear the Pigs squealing {smirk} from my chair.

Is E's brain made of hard concrete or what? Then I go to this Neurospectic site and have to shred good old TF posting away there with his same old bull.

Did you also notice Neurospectic has made no further argument on his unsupportable theory or stance?

Some day you may find a cure for many things that ills mankind; yet I doubt they will ever find one for pure ignorance. {Laughing}

Those were some excellent and thoughtful post you made over there by the way Matt!

Stan: Cheers, mate. I don't know about E, nor Neuroskeptic (assuming that they're different people), to be honest. You know how I like people to state what their objective is? Well, this is precisely why: I have nothing against which to measure these guys' comments, to see if what they think has any chance of achieving the objective, as I perceive it.

And while they're so reluctant to be forthcoming, they'll get nothing whatsoever from me! I have a talent for taking people to the "beyond words" stage (ie, I'll take them into uncharted territory, which they haven't even thought about). I'm actually pleasantly surprised that E has stuck with it, but I think he's on some kind of fishing trip - he didn't go on FS for the sake of gaining the perspective of dissatisfied mental health consumers, that's for sure!

Dear Matt:

Sounds like this “E” over @ FS doesn't know when to say when and continues on spewing like a drunk at a barfing contest. I have personally got bored with his/her continued same old argument and off topic rhetoric. It one thing to try to make a discussion and argument for something you believe in; it's a whole other just to type to see yourself type. I guess his/her Prozac isn't working quite as well as he/she thinks it is! Oh well, just my observation.

Hope things are going well in your fish tank world.

stan: [shrug] I've got no idea what E is trying to demonstrate, to be honest. I don't know; it looks kinda "old school" to hold up a bunch of academic papers and say "nerr, look at this lot: trumps anything you've got," when ECT doesn't work. I don't know what his objective is, but it isn't the same as mine, and I have no interest in discovering what his is, by following his line of reasoning, especially as Ray Sandford continues to receive forced ECT, as we wank ourselves off about how clever we are.

Congratulations! The tank is beautiful.
I'm just reading the discussion on ECT.
