My New Aquarium

I bought a "new" tank on Ebay, and I thought I'd keep a photo diary, as I set this one up... This, obviously, is not my new tank, it's the stand, which I will put my aquarium on, and which I also bought on Ebay. I've to drive to Worksop, next Thursday, to pick up the aquarium, and whatnot.

I'm going to move the current occupants of my little 8g to the new tank, which is 20g, and then increase the size of the shoals - a dozen or so neons, six pandas and two or three trilineatus. I'm going to be a bit more considered about my planting, this time, too. It turned out well, I think, but was done, much like my garden, on a piecemeal basis.

Dear Matt:

Looks Huge, you might want to add a Great White to the mix for fun? Of course I would be careful sticking my hands in there to feed it.

I see Yogi and it's wonderful healing powers has got you motivated once more. Just another fine and stunning real life example, in a long line of powerful testimonies to Yogi’s wonderful miraculous healing effects {Laughing}.
Should we thank Dr. Bling Bling now, or wait until our ads hit the air and TV waves? {Smirk}

Well, now you have some work cut out for you getting everything set up in your new tank. I'm sure we are all looking forward to seeing the progress of this endeavor.

Hope your having a wonderful day.

I’m sure now people everywhere will be beginning to ask about Yogi, but I think we should keep this under wraps until we have all the marketing and phony clinical trials in order! What do you think?

You’re Bloggery Friend,
Stan

PS: I placed an A Hoy Award Example on my blog side bar; let me know what you think?

I look forward to seeing how the tank progresses. It's neat!

LOL - I should have included something in the picture, as a comparator. The tank's only 24"x15"x12". One can put a tank both on top and bottom shelf of the rack - if I can pick up another tank for 20 quid, then you may well see both shelves filled, before too long!

Anyway: yes, keep Yogi under your hat, for the time being. It wouldn't do to alert unemployed psychiatrists to our phoney schemes - erm, I mean our carefully considered and thoroughly researched projects for the betterment of mankind, obviously!

I love the idea of putting A Hoy on your sidebar - I'm just embarassed at my complete lack of talent as an artist! Tracy's piece will actually look the part of an award (did you see that piece on "An Ode to Klimt"? Stunning). That's the trouble for the likes of you and I, Stan: we need to be able to manifest our ability to have cool ideas, otherwise we'll always be treated like whackos.

Dearest Matt:

What exactly is a whacko? Is that like an avid masturbator aka Wanker?
I would never do that personally, because it will make you go blind, and then I would have to go through intense Yogi Therapy to become un-blind {as in see again} and proclaim the miracle of yogi to the whole world from mountain tops and brothels everywhere.

But I'm not letting that Cat out of the bag quite yet {Damn Cat keeps screaming bloody murder and is very noisy} until our phony, but verified scientific studies and clinical trials are completed. Then we will be in the clear to rake in Zillions of dollars and claim a Nobel Peace Prize or Two. {Laughing}

Stan: The precise meaning of "whacko" is unclear to me, but as far as I can make out, it means nothing more than "somebody who behaves in a way that one is not familiar with, and thus feels inclined to ridicule."

Stephany: MTS, or Multiple Tank Syndrome, is apparently a recognized phenomenon, within the hobby!

Wow. I'm anxious to see what it all looks like. I love that you're keeping us all informed about how it developed. It makes me happy.

Tracy: I picked up the tank, today, so post a picture of that, later. I'm going to disinfect it, before I start planting and cycling it, just in case there're any disease/fungal/algae spores in there, so you'll not see the finished article much before Christmas, I think!
