Genius: there's no other word for it - Part XXVI

Aside from Aretha, Linda Rondstadt, Roberta Flack, Dionne Warwick, and one or two others, female vocalists don't feature heavily amongst my favourite artists. Having said that...

Addendum:
I like this one, too - and check out that crazy Swiss audience.

Thanks Matt, I really like these 3 vids/music/songs you've chosen.

I wonder to what extent we choose the music we listen to, and to what extent it chooses us. That is, do I choose music to reflect my mood, change my mood, send a message, or what? And are any of those questions even relevant? It's funny, the problems one addresses, when one stops believing what everybody else believes.

yes, it is interesting all of the questions you propose here. i listened to all of them, and each seemed to connect to the other, and for me they all connected. yet someone else chose the songs.
closest thing to crazy speaks about me; then take the 'not julie andrews' which is one of my fav old songs depicted in a very different way; sting needs no other comment---but what the general feeling this trio did for me was to represent innocent fragility.

[shrug] They're all connected, in the sense that I chose to post them! In some quarters, that would mean that they are evil, mechanical devices, designed to twist words. People will impute what they will, and each opinion has as much right to be heard as the next, but when it comes to my conduct no opinion is as valid as mine!
