My Tropical Fish Aquarium

...is up-and-running.

I've got a little shoal of neon tetras, with four little cories (two bronze, two julii), for company. I had a bit of an issue with nitrates and I lost the guppies that I was keeping prior to the neons, but that seems to be sorted. Fucking brilliant!

I've got it planted, and I've got a couple of zebra snails to keep the algae down, although I've committed to a gravel clean/water change, every Friday, to combat the extra waste from the zebras.

Fish! Fish!

Lovely! I cannot have fish- the cat would think it's free range sushi!

Can you post some pix?

Dependent upon two things:
1. Whether or not I can get my camera to work (it was on the fritz, last time I looked); and
2. If you can provide me with a brief tutorial, because I never have managed to work out how to include jpegs in my posts!

Matt, there is a little button when you get to the screen you use to put text on your blog. You click on that, and download either the url or the photo

Any more than that, ask Stephany. She is a whiz with this kinda thing!

I like the Tyger avatar.

OK. It's up to the camera, then!

I like the tiger, too (obviously - I chose it!). I dunno, maybe it's got something to do with the idea of having a totem animal - "if I were an animal, I'd be..." sort of thing.

I just saw this post! yay for the fish tank, and I also like your tiger avatar. Have I ever told you my oldest daughter has poison dart frogs in an aquarium? crickets are the meal!

free range sushi!! ha ha..that's very very funny...did you come up with that yourself susan??

Matt,
yeah your way of dealing with problems in your fish tank is based in sound observation...psychiatry has no such foundation...

Gianna,

Yes, the free range sushi is my idea.

I think now that Matt has his fish tank up and running, tis time to go to the RSPCA and get his own striped house cat, so he can have a baby tiger too.

Or we all have to play the lottery, one of us win the million dollars and all meet at the Tiger Temple and connect with our inner tigers.

Dear Matt:

I sure like your style and posting! I don't know how I got sucked into that war over at furious, but sometimes that stuff just strikes a cord and you go with your gut, even if I was out of line and little too brutal for my own good. I added you to my blog list and will be back to read more if i'm not swimming with the fishs {laughing}

Gianna: I've no idea what psychiatry bases its ideas on - I'm not sure that I want to know, either!

Susan: I regret to announce that I'm allergic to cat hair!

Stan: I think it was probably inevitable - a bunch of people laying into the Wonderful World of Biederman; and then a bunch of people defending it, especially in the style of "it's done OK for me". If lkhllywd had had success with the mental health system, then she's not likely to want anybody changing it, just in case it impacted her negatively. That's how people are - the idea that it should be changed for everybody's benefit doesn't enter into the question, somehow.

Anyway, you're probably best seeking to understand why people have opposite views to your own, rather than assuming that they're in the opposing camp.

I am not paranoid damn it, they are out the get me {laughing}

I have decided to take up knitting, so you can have a nice warm soft cat hair sweater for Christmas. See what nice person I really am {smirk}.
