I haven't got round to even looking at the state of my camera, let alone taking picture... Here are a couple of images that I nicked off the web:
Julii Cory
Bronze Cory
Neon Tetra
I lost another neon (the third), to a fungal infection, yesterday - the first for a week. So I bought a cardinal, just to be different...

Oh those are beautiful! You are making me think about getting fish again! L loves watching fish swim in tanks more than ever now, probably relaxes her. (they are at the lab)Do your kids like the fish? have you named them?
I love it, Matt! I am going to make a new slideshow screen saver from these beauties!
Do they swim on the opposite side of the tank though?
(bad attempt of humor).
Take care
Stephany: Mixed reaction from the kids - they all seem to be named "fish," apart from the Bronzes, which I called "Tom" and "Thumb"!
Susan: Sadly, they're all stuck at the LH end of the tank. I imagine this is why fishbowls became popular!
Matt
Matt, excellent fish. The cat just woke up and saw one and pawed the screen.
I didn't know you had children. I hope they enjoy the fish tank.
Just never put two Japanese Fighting fish in the same tank- "Daddy, why are the fish eating eachother?" LOL. My poor father!
I love Tom and Thumb for names!
One of my kids named 2 fish the school secretary names when they were little. Dottie and Mary. lol
Matthew,
Oh wow, I just discovered if I click on your name on another blog I get to your blog! Hello and thank you for your wonderful running commentary.
Nice fish, by the way. I can barely keep a goldie going.
Sherry (not the "former patient", thank god)
Matt, I think you should put these beauties on a fish cam.....
that is as brilliant as it gets at five am in the morning and no coffee.
That sounds like a cool idea, susan. Regrettably, my finances won't cover even something that modest, right now... I'll keep it in mind.

Dear Matt:
I would like to pass along to you the Arte y Pico award for blog excellence and your renowned artistic expression of self. You can pull it off my site; it's the one that looks like a nice bowling trophy or something to that effect. Just remember the more awards you can place on your side bar, the more egocentric you can become; then those haunting delusions of grandeur actually hold some validity for once {laughing}.
Yours truly
Stan

Stan,
You're very kind [turns head away from the mic to cough, and wipe a stray tear].
Ladies and gentlemen, I always thought, in my heart of hearts, that I was quite brilliant - and I see now that I wasn't mistaken. This is a wonderful thing that you've done, today [glances lovingly at said bowling trophy] and I fully anticipate having my extraordinary talent as a writer, bon viveur, raconteur, and all-round bullshitter rewarded on a regular basis, from hereon in.
[Sees an old friend in the crowd and shouts out] Hey, Dave, how they hanging, man?...
Anyway, I should get back to my seat, now, because I'm so drunk I can barely stand. Goodnight!
Matt
awesome fish...
sorry not to get around to here...not been so well lately...
How's your aquarium going? Will you have some pictures of your fish soon?
gianna: thanks - they're looking really good, at the moment, though I'm probably tempting fate by writing it!
tracy: I still haven't checked out my camera (there's a digital stills facility on my old camcorder). I'm reasonably convinced that it's dead, and I don't want to confirm that by looking, to be honest! The neons are really nicely settled in, now, and shoaling beatifully. And they feed like little, psychedelic piranhas!
Matt
